Pure Encapsulations was founded in 1991 in Sudbury, MA – the goal was to manufacture and distribute the highest quality line of hypoallergenic supplements in the market. The company was purchased in 2004 by Atrium Innovations and publicly traded from 2005-2014. In 2014, Atrium was purchased by Permira Funds, a large private equity group. The Atrium family of brands was acquired in late 2017 by Nestlé Health Science.
